Lowes equipment rentals from Japan for the upcoming holiday season
Lowes is gearing up to open its first Japanese location in Washington D.C. and it will be opening at the historic White House, where President Donald Trump has visited for a number of events since his inauguration.
The company has been looking for a new home since the end of last year and it was announced last week that the location will be at the White House’s historic East Room, a site where President Bill Clinton had his inauguration on Jan. 21, 1993.
Lowes announced plans to expand its presence in the D.D. area during a press conference at the company’s headquarters in Burbank, Calif., earlier this month.
Low and other hardware retailers are increasingly focusing their attention on the East Room for its unique features, which include an extensive food court, bar and restaurant, and a large, open-air dining room that allows customers to enjoy the ambience of a traditional Japanese restaurant.
In addition, the company said that it would open an office in the building, as well as several new stores and restaurants.
It is also expanding its business into Asia, which is where it hopes to expand into the U.S. It plans to open a store in Shanghai this year.
As for the White Houses grandeur, the D, D. C. hotel and a nearby plaza are slated to be converted into holiday decorations.
The D. D. location will not be opening its doors until 2019, but the company plans to keep the existing hotel and plaza open.
For now, the site will have a small parking lot with a few cars on the street and a parking lot inside the East Hall.
Low prices for its services are available in both D. DC and Washington D, C. For more information, visit the company website.
