Fox News has learned that Verizon will begin a new initiative to return some of its equipment to consumers.
Verizon will not be reimbursing the costs associated with the equipment.
The equipment will be returned to the customer who placed the order.
The program will begin in late January and will include returning some of the equipment to the owner.
Verizon said in a statement that the equipment will also be returned if the owner returns it to Verizon.
Verizon has also agreed to begin an investigation into the incident involving a man who claimed to have been injured by a device during a Verizon technician’s training session.
Verify Wireless, a manufacturer of the device, will also undergo an internal investigation, according to the statement.
Verified Wireless is a division of Verizon.
