Lifting and storage equipment will be available to consumers in Washington State beginning July 1.
The lifting and storage system is a part of the state’s “lift-out and storage” program.
The program began with the state of Washington and will expand to other states.
In October, a federal judge ruled that the state did not comply with the Clean Water Act when it closed the Lifting Out and Storage equipment.
That ruling came after the state failed to provide a timeline for implementing the program.
Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson said at the time that the program was meant to be an economic stimulus, not a government waste of tax dollars.
The state has been working to implement the program since March of this year, but Ferguson said it is now time for the state to close the program and move on.
